Two guys, an idea, and a piece of land.

That’s all True North Collective is so far. Here’s where we want to take it.

The idea

Sober people, a lake, a fire, and a few days with nowhere to be. Meetings are good. We think there’s also room for somewhere to go and something to do together.

We have permission to use a private piece of wooded land in Minnesota with cabins and a lake. We haven’t run a trip there yet.

Where we are, honestly

We’re not a nonprofit or a registered company yet. We’re working toward making this a real organization.

Before that, we want to know whether people want this. So the first step is a waitlist, and the second is a free trip for a small group to find out what we’ve got wrong.

More about the first trip

What we want it to be

A sober space
No alcohol and no drugs on the property. That part isn’t up for discussion.
Every path welcome
12-step, SMART Recovery, Refuge, or your own way. How you got sober is your business.
No performance
Nobody has to share and nobody has to lead. Sitting by the lake all weekend counts.
Small groups
Few enough people that you learn everyone’s name by the first dinner.

Help us figure this out.

Join the waitlist and tell us what you’d want from a trip. It takes a minute and it’s private.
